4 the 4th

‘MUURRRICA…

I had to do it, but in all seriousness today is about the independence of America from the Brits and that’s why we have McD’s and Starbucks everywhere. The american dream. Money, car(ssssssssss), the COMFORT of food and shelter and the respect of society…

but where is God?

We are often so much in a rush being independent that some don’t feel a need for God. They have everything they want right?

One problem though.

Their disconnect from God is seen behind closed doors. We see what God has blessed them with but their insides are all sorts of jacked up. Anxiety, freaking out about what others think of them, the fear of failure… many of these doubts and fears are designed to get them to harden their heart even further from the voice of God.

I heard a Pharell song called “Freedom” and before he performed it, he said,TOTALLY PARAPHRASED, “no matter how much money in the bank, whatever you do, you need some kind of freedom.” The comments were not so kind.

“Oh that’s so AMERICAN”

Why so?

Our silver spoons and sense of entitlement has disconnected us from the one thing that truly matters, which is you and Jesus being able to speak to each other.

THE SOLUTION: I propose a trade.

Trade your peace for his, your prosperity for his, your life for his, your thoughts for his.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1 John 2:15)

This word is the word of liberty, it gives you the glorious liberty of being of Child of God THROUGH FAITH! When you believe that God will come through, he begins to, over and over again, in every situation.

Liberty begins at the spirit. The spirit teaches you how to submit to God in everything. When you are a slave unto righteousness which leads into the eternal life Christ died for…

There you will find your perpetual 4th of July.

SAY SOMETHIN EH!?!?!?
